ESC Laboratoire Equicomplément is a complementary feed enriched with vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and plants, designed to support the horse's nutritional balance on a daily basis.

Its formulation notably combines calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper, and selenium, as well as various vitamins and selected plants.

It is particularly suitable for horses living at pasture, at rest, or in work, when the base ration does not necessarily meet all of their nutritional needs.

Why use an MVS for your horse?

Even when a horse has access to sufficient forage, the ration does not necessarily cover all of its needs for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

Needs vary depending on forage quality, the season, physical activity, age, and the horse's physiological status.

Equicomplément provides a daily set of nutrients intended to supplement the base ration. ESC recommends it especially for horses at pasture, leisure horses, and breeding horses.

🦴 Calcium & phosphorus

Calcium and phosphorus are two essential minerals for the horse's body, especially for maintaining normal bone structure.

Equicomplément provides 20% calcium and 10% phosphorus, respectively.

💪 Magnesium

Magnesium is involved in numerous physiological functions and contributes to normal muscle function and energy metabolism.

The formula provides 2% magnesium.

✨ Zinc & copper

Zinc and copper are essential trace elements that play a role in many bodily functions.

They are particularly involved in the maintenance of tissues, metabolism, and various physiological functions.

Equicomplément provides 1,000 mg of zinc and 350 mg of copper per kilogram of product.

🛡️ Selenium

Selenium is an essential trace element that contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative stress and the normal functioning of the immune system.

The formula provides 15 mg of selenium per kilogram, with a portion in organic form.

For which horses?

🐎 Horse living at pasture

Equicomplément is particularly valuable when you want to supplement a ration consisting mainly of grass and/or forage.

The nutritional quality of grass can vary depending on the season, weather conditions, soil, and plot. A mineral-vitamin supplement then helps provide the micronutrients necessary for a balanced ration.

🌿 Leisure horse

For a horse with moderate activity, Equicomplément allows you to supplement the ration without necessarily increasing energy intake significantly.

🏇 Horse in work

For horses in work, nutritional needs can differ from those of a maintenance horse.

ESC recommends a higher dose for sport horses to support their nutritional needs.

🐴 Broodmare

The formula can also be used for broodmares with an adaptation of the amount distributed.

For pregnant or lactating mares, seek advice from a veterinarian or equine nutritionist before use.

Directions for use

To be incorporated directly into the daily ration.

For an adult horse of approximately 550 kg

ESC recommends a 20-day course of treatment, renewable if necessary.

The dose should be adapted to the horse's weight and its entire ration.

Important: an MVS should not be automatically added to a ration that is already highly supplemented with vitamins and minerals. All intake must be taken into account to avoid excesses, especially for certain trace elements like selenium.

Dicalcium phosphate, lithothamnion, sugar beet molasses, micro-milled carob, micro-milled alfalfa, magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, sea salt, corn starch, dextrose, vegetable charcoal, seaweed, inactive brewer's yeast.

Micro-milled plants

Anise, horsetail, milk thistle, fumitory, fenugreek, and nettle.

• Selenium: 15 mg/kg, including 2 mg/kg in organic form.

Manufacturing method

Equicomplément is produced using a cold-pressing granulation process.

This process is used by ESC Laboratoire to limit the alteration of the nutritional qualities of raw materials during manufacturing.

• Product intended exclusively for equines.
• Complementary feed to be used in addition to the base ration.
